NFL Week 6 is almost in the books, pending the Monday night matchups, but the opening odds for Week 7 are up on DraftKings Sportsbook and it’s time to give them a look.
There is one game on Thursday. There are 12 games on Sunday, with one in London, and there are two Monday night games.
Baltimore and Buffalo have their byes this week.

Pittsburgh is 4-1 while Cincinnati is 2-4. Example #9874723932 that we silly humans know nothing! Pittsburgh had its bye in Week 5 and easily dispatched of Cleveland in Week 6, 23-9. Aaron Rodgers went 21-of-30 for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Cincinnati traded for Joe Flacco and immediately made him the starter. He was no magic elixir as the Bengals lost their fourth game in a row. At least he was able to feed Ja’Marr Chase – 12 targets for 10 receptions, 94 yards and a touchdown.

It was a Pyrrhic victory for the Rams in Week 6, as they easily handled the Lamar Jackson-less Ravens but Puka Nacua injured his ankle, putting his status for this one in doubt. Jacksonville had its three-game win streak rudely stopped by Seattle at home. Jacksonville could only muster 273 yards of total offense and 12 points. The total opened at 46.5 on Sunday night.

Kansas City defeated the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. Las Vegas finally got a win, but if it’s over Tennessee, does it really count? Geno Smith is going for the Guinness Book of World Record for most consecutive games with an interception.

After winning their first game of the season in Week 5, the Saints returned to their losing ways in Week 6 against a surprising Patriots squad. Alvin Kamara has only caught 17 of 21 targets for 77 yards this season. Chicago plays on Monday night.

Miami was in position to win its second game of the season in Week 6, but the Chargers eked out the 29-27 win. Miami has yet to score 30 points this season. It accomplished the feat only twice last season. Cleveland hasn’t scored 20 points in any game this season. Dillon Gabriel made his second start of the season in Week 6 and could guide the team for only three field goals.

New England has won three straight and is 4-2, one game behind the Bills for the AFC East lead. Drake Maye for MVP! Maye is now +2200, the eighth-lowest odds. New England should have no problems dispatching Tennessee. Remember the Titans? Yeah, me neither.

Philadelphia started the season 4-0, but not all was sunshine and unicorns. The wide receivers were frustrated as the passing game was a low-volume, dink-and-dunk operation. And it wasn’t like the run game was bludgeoning defenses, as Saquon Barkley hasn’t hit 100 yards in a game. Well, they say winning cures all. After two straight losses, there is an epidemic in Philadelphia. Carson Wentz has performed well, guiding the Vikings to two wins in three games. Minnesota had its bye in Week 6 and J.J. McCarthy could return for this one, but that hasn’t been determined yet.

Carolina has won two straight and three of the last four games. The sky truly is falling! Those wins were over Miami, Dallas and Atlanta, although it did thump the Falcons, 30-0. The Jets are the only remaining winless team. Justin Fields went 9-of-17 for 45 yards in Week 6. New York was favored by 1.5 points on Sunday night and the total was 45.5.
Sunday Late Games – October 19

The New York DartSkattebos are 2-1, with one of those wins being an impressive 34-17 victory over the Eagles. This is a super stiff test for New York, as it has to travel to Denver and play in the high altitude against a team that has one of the best defenses in the league. Denver has won three straight. Week 6’s performance wasn’t impressive, a 13-11 win over the Jets, but that game was in London. It will now have to readjust coming back to the states.

The Colts are 5-1 and the 194 points scored is the most in the NFL by a significant margin. Only six other teams have scored over 150 points. Detroit entered the Sunday Night game with 174 points. The Chargers were able to stop their two-game skid, but the win was over the Dolphins and it wasn’t convincing in the slightest.

A good ole fashioned NFC East battle but these aren’t your grandpa’s Commanders and Cowboys. Both teams have susceptible defenses with excellent quarterbacks. Washington plays Monday night, so it will be a short week for the team. Dallas lost to Carolina. Oh, Jerry.

Green Bay came out of its bye and got the 27-18 win over the Bengals. But it wasn’t an impressive win. Green Bay is such a strange team. It has a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and can beat anyone in the league, yet your local neighborhood upset watch is always vigilant. Arizona has lost four straight and Kyler Murray is banged up, which got Jacoby Brissett a start in Week 6. He did go 27-of-44 for 320 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. There is no quarterback controversy, but Brissett may be the better option.

Atlanta had its bye in Week 5 and plays Monday night. San Francisco was bested by Tampa Bay in Week 6. Mac Jones has started the last two games and four of six contests, performing well in all. The big news for the 49ers, though, is the loss of All-Pro middle linebacker Fred Warner.

Detroit played on Sunday night and lost in Kansas City. No dome. Boo hoo. I kid I kid. Kansas City is a really good team. Tampa Bay defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6. Houston entered its Week 6 bye with two dominating performances. Granted, those were against the Titans and depleted Ravens, but wins and good feelings are only wins and good feelings. They’ve had time to prepare for this one, but the environment will be a daunting one with the 12th man on Monday night. After losing to Tampa Bay in Week 5, the Seahawks rebounded with a 20-12 win in Jacksonville in Week 6. Sam Darnold has performed well this season while Jaxon Smith-Njigba is showing that he needs to be talked about as one of the best receivers in the league.
