For the first time since 2016, the Toronto Blue Jays are back in the American League Championship Series.
The Jays made quick work of the reigning AL champion Yankees, dispatching them in four games — then celebrated in the Bronx to the tune of Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York.” Toronto racked up 50 hits and 34 runs across the four-game set, including 23 runs in the first two games at home — where they’ll return Sunday night to host the Seattle Mariners in Game 1 of the ALCS.
Toronto boasts one of the most complete offenses in the sport, and it hasn’t skipped a beat in October. The lineup is anchored by star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who’s been on fire this postseason and will look to keep it rolling as he tries to lead his club to its first World Series since 1993.
First pitch at Rogers Centre is scheduled for 8:03 p.m. ET. Toronto enters as a -167 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, with Seattle listed as a +137 underdog. The total is set at 7.5 runs.

After signing a 14-year, $500 million deal to stay in Toronto for the rest of his career, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. posted a respectable 2025 campaign, hitting .292 with an .848 OPS, 23 home runs, and 84 RBIs. Now, the 26-year-old first baseman is catching fire in October — and if he keeps this up, that monster contract might start to look like highway robbery.
Guerrero went scorched earth against the Yankees in the Division Series, going 9-for-17 (.529) with a 1.609 OPS, three homers — including a grand slam — and nine RBIs.
He’s now in a prime position to continue his torrid stretch, facing a depleted Seattle pitching staff that just endured a 15-inning thriller in Game 5 against the Detroit Tigers. The Mariners used up three of their top rotation arms in the drawn-out, winner-take-all showdown and must turn to the struggling Bryce Miller on Sunday night.
The 27-year-old righty posted a rough 5.68 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP and just 74 strikeouts across 90.1 innings of work in 2025. Miller recently tossed 4.1 innings of two-run ball against the Tigers in Game 4 of the ALDS — but got tagged for seven earned runs in just five innings against the Blue Jays on May 11. Guerrero is 1-for-4 with a walk in his career against Miller.
With Seattle’s pitching staff running on fumes, the Mariners will need all the length they can get from Miller. But if Toronto’s offense picks up where it left off, expect the Jays to jump all over him — and count on the red-hot Guerrero to lead the charge once again.
