Emeka Egbuka is off to a historic start to his NFL career. He is one of only four rookies in NFL history to record five or more touchdowns in their first games, and he has joined elite company in that statistic. Only Egbuka, Randy Moss, Calvin Ridley and Ja’Marr Chase have recorded five touchdowns in their first five games in the NFL as a rookie.

He is on a historic pace for a rookie, and I’m backing that to continue on Sunday. Despite facing an above-average passing defense, Egbuka should find the end zone for the sixth time this season on Sunday. The absence of Mike Evans has certainly helped his touchdown production, as he is now tied for the team lead in red zone targets with five. Egbuka has looked like a special talent to start his NFL career, and I am getting on the bandwagon before it’s too late.
Through five games, the rookie leads Tampa Bay in targets (38), receptions (25), receiving yards (445) and receiving touchdowns (5). The offense goes through Egbuka, and if Tampa Bay finds the end zone multiple times on Sunday, expect him to get in amongst the action.
