If you are the Raiders, you have to get the rushing attack going on Sunday. The Titans have been abysmal against the run this season, ranking 30th in the NFL while allowing 146.8 yards per game. Tennessee is coming off its first win of the season, albeit a fluky one. They all count the same, but Arizona did rush for 168 yards in the loss.
Jeanty has improved in recent weeks, as mentioned above, averaging 6.6 yards per carry in Week 4, followed by 4.8 yards per carry in last week’s blowout loss to the Colts. Could his recent success be related to reverting back to his well-known college stance?
Jeanty has seen 17 or more carries in three of five games so far this season, and I would be shocked if he didn’t get at least 20 in this game.
The Raiders are at home in this one, facing one of the worst rushing defenses in football. Jeanty should get the ball early and often, which in turn will open things up in the passing attack for a struggling Geno Smith. The game plan seems obvious, almost too obvious…
