Week 6 of the NFL regular season is already here. For fantasy football managers, the intensity is ramping up. Between injuries and bye weeks, it’s never been easier to stumble into a loss. To support your weakened lineups, savvy roster adds are necessary. However, finding an immediate contributor is easier said than done.

Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers
TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots ($4,300)
A massive upset of the Bills has New England poised to compete in the top-heavy AFC. There were several standouts for the Patriots on Sunday night. That doesn’t include Hunter Henry. The tight end only managed to haul in two catches for 46 yards. Still, he’s enjoyed a productive tenth season in the NFL. Through five games, the veteran has recorded 17 receptions for 250 yards and three touchdowns.
This weekend’s game against the 1-4 Saints is a clear step down in competition. However, they’ve done a decent job at limiting opposing wide receivers. That means Stefon Diggs ($5,800) and other New England wideouts could struggle to gain separation. It’ll be easier for quarterback Drake Maye ($5,900) to attack this defense over the middle of the field. New Orleans has surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. That should lead to plenty of targets for the 6’5″ Henry.
RB Emanuel Wilson, Green Bay Packers ($4,100)
The Packers enter Sunday as massive favorites over the Bengals, and it’s easy to see why. In a desperation move, Cincinnati pulled off a trade for 40-year-old quarterback Joe Flacco ($4,000). While the gunslinger might be a step up from Jake Browning ($4,900), this team still misses Joe Burrow (toe). Don’t expect a massive fantasy output from the underdogs this weekend. I’d expect Green Bay to lead by multiple scores for most of this game.
If that’s the case, head coach Matt LaFleur should be more than content to churn out some clock. It all starts with Josh Jacobs ($7,300), one of football’s most dependable running backs. However, for a team with Super Bowl aspirations, this is not the game to wear out your RB1. Backup Emanuel Wilson could enjoy more touches than usual. During Green Bay’s most recent contest vs. Dallas, the 26-year-old garnered 11 touches for 81 total yards (11.1 FPTS). He also received a season-high 30% snap share. A similar workload in Week 6 would make the backup a terrific sleeper pick. It helps that the Bengals have coughed up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs.
WR Isaiah Bond, Cleveland Browns ($3,700)
Making sense of this Browns offense is a losing battle. As previously mentioned, Joe Flacco is in Cincinnati. That means Dillon Gabriel ($4,400) is Cleveland’s starting quarterback, with fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders ($4,000) waiting in the wings. The former impressed last week vs. Minnesota, throwing for 190 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers. As far as NFL debuts go, that’s not too shabby. One name Gabriel tried- and often failed- to find was Isaiah Bond. The first-year wideout was targeted seven times, second-most on the team. However, he only managed to catch two passes for 29 yards.
Bond is an interesting case. Once viewed as an early-round talent, off-field legal issues derailed his draft stock. As a result, the 21-year-old signed with Cleveland as an undrafted free agent. On a team largely bereft of pass-catching talent, it appears to have been a prudent move. Other than Jerry Jeudy ($4,500), there aren’t any Browns receivers that are nearly as talented. Last week vs. the Vikings, Bond saw his snap share go up to 57%, a season-high. Against a mediocre Steelers secondary, he only needs a few catches to deliver fantasy football value on Sunday.
