Two Flyweights, Lucas Rocha and Stewart Nicoll, will face off at today’s UFC Fight Night in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Both fighters are coming off a loss in their UFC debut. This is the first of two 125-pound bouts on this card.

Lucas Rocha Moneyline (-112)
Even though Nicoll and Rocha both lost their last bout, they are still very talented fighters. Nicoll is five years older and is two inches taller (5’5″ vs. 5’3″) with a 1.5-inch reach advantage (65.5″ vs. 64″). But Rocha has the experience advantage even though he is the younger fighter. Rocha has had 19 fights in his career, eight more than Nicoll.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the odds are extremely close with Rocha as a -112 favorite and Nicoll as a -108. Nicoll has won his last four fights by KO/TKO. But Rocha was on an excellent run as well before his previous loss. Rocha won six straight fights with five coming by finish from 2020 to 2023.
Rocha has fought twice under the UFC banner, with one coming on Dana White’s Contender Series and the other on a UFC Fight Night. Given Rocha’s longer track record, he should be better positioned to respond after a loss than Nicoll.
