Tonight, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, a fantastic Lightweight fight between Charles Oliveira and Mateusz Gamrot headlines this week’s UFC Fight Night. Gamrot has won four of his previous five contests, while Oliveira is 3-2 in that period. Former Flyweight Champion No. 6 Deiveson Figueiredo faces No. 15 Montel Jackson in the co-main event of this card.
Here are my best bets for tonight’s UFC Fight Night.
Charles Oliveira Moneyline (-105)
Charles Oliveira has suffered multiple losses recently, but he has fought the top competition at 155 pounds. Two of his recent defeats were against the last two Lightweight Champions, Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev. Now he faces Mateusz Gamrot, who, although he is talented, isn’t on the level of his previous opponents.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Oliveira is a -105 underdog while Gamnrot is a -115 favorite. In this matchup, both fighters stand at 5’10” while “Do Bronx” has a 3.5-inch reach advantage. The difference in this fight is Oliveira’s versatile skillset, elite finishing ability, and championship pedigree.
Montel Jackson To Win By Decision (+110)
In the co-main event, Montel Jackson takes on former champion Deiveson Figueiredo in a three-round Bantamweight bout. Although Figueiredo has held gold in the past, like Oliveira, this is a different situation. That is because Figueiredo’s last title reign came in 2023 at 125 pounds. Figueiredo won his first three fights in the Bantamweight division, but has since suffered two straight defeats and hasn’t seemed to adjust to the new weight class well.
Jackson is a heavy -355 favorite in this matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook as Figueiredo is a +280 underdog. But since three of Jackson’s last five victories have come via the judges’ scorecards, it is the best value to get him at +110 to win by decision. Jackson is the better all-around fighter in this fight and should be able to get the best of Figueiredo, especially since he has a seven-inch reach advantage (75″ vs. 68″) while being taller (5’10” vs. 5’5″).
