Denzel Boston is one of the best wide receivers in the country. The Washington offense is capable of explosive plays at any given time. They have an elite running back, Jonah Coleman, and a dual-threat quarterback, Demond Williams Jr. The threats from all over the offense make it even harder for opposing defenses to try to stop Boston, who is averaging 69.2 receiving yards per game this season with four touchdowns. The only game where Boston was really contained was against No. 1 Ohio State, who arguably have the top defense in the nation. Against Rutgers on Friday night, Boston should have a field day.
The Rutgers pass defense is one of the worst in the Big Ten and in the entire nation. The Scarlet Knights rank 113th in the nation in defensive EPA/pass, while the Washington offense ranks 14th in the nation in EPA/pass. This should be a massive mismatch for Williams Jr. and Boston.
The Huskies will be happy to be back home, while Rutgers is traveling across the country to Seattle for this game. That tough travel schedule could make things even worse for a struggling Rutgers secondary. Boston has three touchdowns in his last three games and should add another one against Rutgers.
South Florida vs. North Texas: Chas Nimrod Anytime TD (+100)
Chas Nimrod has been the go-to guy for No. 24 South Florida this season. This is one of the biggest games of the season at the Group of Five level, and the Bulls’ star should step up and deliver. South Florida and North Texas are a part of the highly competitive race for the American title. This game will massively shift the favorite to win the conference and secure the G5 a College Football Playoff spot.
South Florida quarterback Byrum Brown will look to Nimrod in the important moments of such a big game. Nimrod is averaging 84.2 yards per game this season, despite playing high-level competition like Boise State, Florida, and Miami out of conference. Nimrod has three touchdowns in his past two games and looks to add another one in what should be a shootout against North Texas.
