After big wins by the Cubs and Phillies on Wednesday, we’ve got a two-game NLDS slate on tap for Thursday. The schedule is as follows:
- Philadelphia Phillies (Cristopher Sánchez) at Los Angeles Dodgers (Tyler Glasnow) — 6:08 p.m. ET (TBS)
- Milwaukee Brewers (Freddy Peralta) at Chicago Cubs (Matthew Boyd) — 9:08 p.m. ET (TBS)

MLB Odds & Storylines
In the first game of the day at 6:08 p.m. ET, the Phillies will look to force a decisive Game 5 against the Dodgers. Cristopher Sánchez will take on Tyler Glasnow in LA, and the Dodgers are -137 moneyline favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the run total set at 8.
Both starting pitchers are strong in this one, although Glasnow did get tagged for 5 ER over 2 IP in his only start vs. the Phillies during the regular season. If you think it’s could happen again, you might want to look at Garion Thorne’s pick of Bryce Harper 1+ Home Run (+331) from his Top Home Run Props article. Garion notes that Glasnow surrendered 80% of his long balls in his home starts, not to mention the fact that Harper posted a .240 ISO and a 135 wRC+ vs. RHPs during the regular season and he’s 4-for-12 (.333) lifetime against Glasnow with a pair of extra-base knocks. That being said, Bryan Armetta shared in his game preview that he thinks Phillies vs. Dodgers under eight total runs (-118) is the best bet in this one. He notes that we have yet to see a game in which both teams score more than three runs and it’s hard to see that changing tonight with two excellent starters on the bump.
In the other NLDS matchup on tonight’s slate, the Brewers look to close out the Cubs at Wrigley Field at 9:08 p.m. ET. Freddy Peralta will take on Matthew Boyd, and the Brewers are -120 moneyline favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the run total set at 7.
In his aforementioned Top Home Run Props article, Garion thinks facing Boyd — who appeared in Game 1 and threw 30 pitches — is a great opportunity for William Contreras. Not only does Contreras mash against LHPs to the tune of a career .304 average with a .901 OPS and a 148 wRC+, but he also is 5-for-10 with a home run off Boyd in their regular season matchups. So it’s no surprise he likes Contreras 1+ Home Run (+610) in this one. On the Cubs’ side, DraftKings Sportsbook notes that Seiya Suzuki has hit a home run in three of the Cubs’ last four home games against NL Central opponents, making Suzuki 1+ Home Run (+553) an option to consider.
