Amidst reported frustration amongst the receiver room, Philly’s play calling saw an abandonment of the run, resulting in just 11 rushing attempts – the team’s fewest since Week 17, 2009 – and DeVonta Smith catching eight balls for 114 yards. Meanwhile, the Giants lost 26-14 to the previously-winless Saints at Caesars Superdome. It was a sloppy performance from the Giants, who lost 95 yards to penalties and committed five turnovers – equal-most since 2013 – with three coming from rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. These teams met twice last season, seeing Philadelphia win 28-3 at MetLife Stadium and 20-13 at Lincoln Financial Field.
