After losing their first game of the season, the Eagles will look to rebound quickly. Philadelphia will travel to New York to take on its division rival on Thursday Night Football. To say that is matchup has been one-sided in recent years would be a massive understatement. In fact, the Eagles have won 16 of their past 20 regular season meetings with the Giants.
Can New York buck the trend and protect home field advantage? More importantly, who will find the end zone first this evening?

Eagles vs. Giants First Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets
Jalen Hurts First Touchdown Scorer (+425)
They aren’t the longest odds in the world, but as long as Jalen Hurts has longer first touchdown odds than Saquon Barkley (+350), I’m going to back the QB to find the end zone before his teammate. It’s as simple as the existence tush push, too. Through five weeks, only Josh Allen (12) has more red zone rushing attempts as a quarterback than Hurts’ 11, as the Eagles’ pivot constantly calls his own number in high leverage situations. It’s hard to argue with the results, though. Hurts has handled 62.5% of Philadelphia’s rushing attempts inside the opponent’s five-yard line and he’s turned that volume into three touchdowns. By comparison, Barkley has yet to find pay dirt on a goal line carry this season. Hurts has double-digit rushing scores each of the past four campaigns. It’s going to happen again in 2025, and I assume he’ll find the end zone early on in the TNF tilt.
Theo Johnson First Touchdown Scorer (+1900)
It’s sort of difficult to assume anyone other than Theo Johnson could find the end zone for the Giants at this point, right? The Winnipeg native has been a red zone monster since Jaxson Dart (+1700) took over as New York’s No. 1 QB, with 12 targets and three touchdowns in the Ole Miss product’s first two NFL starts. In fact, every touchdown that Dart has thrown in his rookie campaign has been caught by his sophomore tight end. Last week alone, Johnson caught a pair of TDs on a team-high four targets inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. Following that performance, Johnson has now seen 36.4% of the Giants’ red zone targets for the season as a whole — the sixth-highest mark in the league. Even if you don’t believe that New York has much of a chance to score first in this contest, Johnson is at least worth a look at his anytime touchdown odds of +390.
