The Eagles are off to a strong start in their Super Bowl title defense. At 4-1, they’re tied for the top record in the NFC, and looking strong. But the lack of connection between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown has been a significant storyline. That conversation has boiled over into numerous quotes, player-coach meetings, and articles that point to discord in the locker room.
So, will the Eagles be able to put the drama aside and take care of business? Can they get Brown back on track against the Giants? Or will this problem simmer for the rest of the season?
Philadelphia is a seven-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the point total set to 40.5. Below, I’ve detailed my favorite prop bets centered around Brown.
Best A.J. Brown Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
A.J. Brown 5+ Receptions (-127)
Plenty has been made about Brown’s lack of connection with Hurts at the moment. But there is no denying that Hurts continues to look Brown’s way. Brown has been targeted at least eight times in each of their last four games, getting 5+ catches on three occasions. These receptions haven’t yielded the explosive plays we are used to, but Hurts still counts on Brown to move the chains and make plays over the middle.
The Giants have allowed an average of 24.8 completions per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Philadelphia will lean on the run, first and foremost, but Brown will still get his volume regardless. Even if those targets aren’t going far down the field, Hurts will need him for third-down pickups and chunk plays. An air-mailed deep ball may irk you at some point in this game, but Brown will make up for it with a plethora of chain-moving plays — zigging while everyone else is zagging.
