WR Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start or Sit in Week 6

WR Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start or Sit in Week 6

Updated:

By: Jeff Pratt

At this point in the 2025 NFL season, QB-WR rapports, target shares and more have been established among the league’s receiving corps. With all of that in mind, let’s break down my WR start/sit Week 6 fantasy football picks.

Check out my full Week 6 start/sit article with picks at each position here!

Start ‘Em: Romeo Doubs (Packers) vs. Bengals

Starting a guy who scored three touchdowns in his last game against one of the worst defenses in football? Sounds like a good idea.

The Packers’ receiving corps have been decimated with injuries, opening the door for week-to-week production across a range of contributors. Many expected Matthew Golden to step in immediately as the top option, but that hasn’t materialized yet.

Instead, it’s been Doubs who has risen to the occasion. The steady fourth-year receiver has been a mainstay over Green Bay’s last two outings, playing at least 89% of snaps in of those contests. Replicating his three-score performance against Dallas is virtually out of the question, but his snap and target shares should result in a strong floor against an underwhelming Cincinnati secondary.

Sit ‘Em: Jerry Jeudy (Browns) at Steelers

Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, it doesn’t seem to matter who is under center for the Browns. They just don’t want to throw competitive balls to Jerry Jeudy.

Fresh off his best season as a pro in which he racked up 90 receptions for 1,229 yards and four touchdowns, the 26-year-old is on pace for under 64 catches in 2025 thus far. In Gabriel’s first career start, Jeudy wasn’t even a downfield option, bringing in two catches for 15 yards.

Snap share isn’t the issue, as Jeudy has been on the field for at least 82% of plays in each of Cleveland’s contests. He just hasn’t been on the same page with any of his respective signal callers. Even with Pittsburgh’s secondary not playing up to expectations so far, it’s impossible to trust Jeudy until he proves his fantasy value on a consistent basis.

Start ‘Em: Calvin Ridley (Raiders) at Raiders

After four weeks, vintage Calvin Ridley finally made another appearance. Up until last Sunday, the veteran had failed to score double-digit fantasy points in a contest on the year. So, when the time finally came to snap that skid, he did so in a massive way.

Ridley recorded season-highs in targets (10), receptions (five) and yards (131), finishing just shy of 20 PPR points. Following his best outing of the season, Brian Callahan declared that the Titans would continue to find ways to get their star playmaker involved.

That promise sets the stage for another successful showing against the Raiders, who allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Fire Ridley up as a WR2 with upside to finish top-five at his position this Sunday.

Sit ‘Em: Jameson Williams (Lions) at Chiefs

Fantasy managers have been rolling Williams out in starting lineups this season, hoping for his trademark one or two huge plays to produce fantasy value. Through five weeks, it’s only happened once. In the speedster’s other four outings, he’s racked up a combined 20.6 PPR points.

It’s not like Williams and Jared Goff aren’t on the same page, either. Detroit’s signal caller simply isn’t looking his way as much. Williams is averaging just 4.2 targets and 44.6 yards per contest, which isn’t even enough to justify FLEX consideration.

The 24-year-old will certainly bounce back at some point, but I just don’t expect it to happen against a stout Chiefs secondary.

Start ‘Em: Stefon Diggs (Patriots) at Saints

Diggs was my start of the week in the prior edition of this series, and it’s safe to say that turned out alright…

It was predictable that the veteran wideout would step up in a revenge game scenario, but I did NOT expect him to showcase that type of burst less than a year after his ACL tear. Diggs diced up the Buffalo secondary all night long, hauling in 10 of 12 targets for 146 yards.

The former All-Pro has now eclipsed the 100-yard mark in back-to-back contests, setting the stage for another big outing against New Orleans. Diggs’ high target share should result in a low-end WR2 floor, with plenty of upside if he finally gets into the end zone.

Those are my WR start/sit Week 6 fantasy football picks! Stay tuned for more fantasy football start/sit advice throughout this week.
