An intriguing Flyweight bout between Imanol Rodriguez and Roque Conceicao is the third fight on tonight’s Dana White’s Contender Series card. Conceicao has more experience, holding a 10-2 record with seven knockouts and two submissions. Rodriguez is 5-1 with four finishes and is coming off an appearance on The Ultimate Fighter Season 33.
Check out my best bet for Imanol Rodriguez vs. Roque Conceicao on DWCS.
Imanol Rodriguez to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+110)
Rodriguez, who competed on Team Cormier on The Ultimate Fighter 33, has continued to learn from the former two-division UFC Champion at his new gym, The Academy in Gilroy, California. Daniel Cormier has had multiple fighters from his gym appear on DWCS this season, as he focuses on developing young talent.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Rodriguez is a -225 favorite while Conceicao is a +185 underdog. On TUF, Rodriguez lost to Joseph Morales, a UFC veteran, via split decision. Morales ultimately won the tournament, earning another UFC contract.
Before suffering his first career loss, Rodriguez was unstoppable, finishing five straight opponents in the first or second round. Rodriguez is coming off a loss, but it was a close fight, and he knows he needs to put out a better performance in his second chance with the promotion. Since Rodriguez is an excellent finisher, getting him at +110 to beat Conceicao by KO/TKO/DQ or submission is a good value play.
