Week 5 was a high-scoring week with several games bringing plenty of offense, allowing entries to rack up fantasy points. The highest-scoring entry on Sunday afternoon in the NFL $2.75M FANTASY FOOTBALL MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST] came from pickedtherightscrub, who racked up 246.82 fantasy points, finishing two points ahead of the rest of the 161,764 entries. The entry racked up one of the top totals of the season while climbing to the top of the leaderboard.

Jetting out to a fast start
The Jets played from behind against the Cowboys, but that didn’t stop this entry’s selections from rallying to big totals. The Cowboys went up 23-3 by halftime, but in “garbage time” both Justin Fields (25.92 FPTS) and Breece Hall (21.5 FPTS) posted good numbers.
Fields had a pair of passing touchdowns, 283 passing yards, 26 rushing yards and a two-point conversion pass. Hall didn’t have a touchdown but racked up 113 rushing yards, 42 receiving yards and four catches in his team’s defeat.
On the other side of that early game, Jake Ferguson (23.9 FPTS) had two touchdowns to help the Cowboys build that early lead. He hauled in seven of his nine targets for 49 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Each of these three players was owned in around 30% of entries, but their big games were enough to get pickedtherightscrub started with a huge total.
Running Backs from both ends of the salary spectrum
The most expensive RB on the slate was Jonathan Taylor (31.6 FPTS). Taylor and the Colts absolutely crushed the Raiders, and Taylor had the second-highest score of all running backs on the main slate by scoring three touchdowns, running for 66 yards and adding 20 receiving yards on three catches.
On the other end of the price list, Rico Dowdle (35.4 FPTS) was the running back to outscore Taylor. Dowdle was a bargain at just $4,300, but he stepped into a huge role when Chuba Hubbard (calf) re-injured himself and was forced to miss the Week 4 matchup with the Dolphins.
Dowdle stepped up with a massive 234 total yards, along with a rushing score. He was owned in under 20% of entries, and with such elite per-dollar value, he was a must-have for all the options near the top of the leaderboard.
While Dowdle was carrying the load for the Panthers, Jaylen Waddle (26 FPTS) stepped up on the other side of that same matchup for the Dolphins. Waddle will have a chance to step up as the true top receiver for the Dolphins with Tyreek Hill (knee) out for the season.
For his first full game without Hill, he looked up to the challenge, hauling in six of his nine targets for 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Facing the Giants
The entry from pickedtherightscrub went extremely scrubby with their DST selection. They selected the Saints DST (18 FPTS), who were one of the cheapest units on the board at just $2,200.
They delivered the most fantasy points of any DST, though, with one sack, five takeaways and this defensive touchdown:
If pickedtherightscrub lived up to their unique moniker in any one of their selections this week, it was their defensive play of the Saints, who got their first win of the season and helped this entry to a victory as well.
WR1’s battle in beautiful matchup
In one of the most beautiful matchups of the day, the Buccaneers visited the Seahawks with both teams wearing outstanding throwback uniforms. The only two players in the late window from the winning lineup were the two emerging young receivers who starred in the teams’ back-and-forth high-scoring contest. Both Emeka Egbuka (34.3 FPTS) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (30.2 FPTS) racked up huge fantasy days, finishing in the top-three receivers.
Egbuka was owned in only 7.1% of entries, with the lowest ownership percentage of all the players in the winning entry. He went off for 163 yards and a touchdown on seven catches, including this strike from Baker Mayfield (29.7 FPTS), who also found Egbuka on the two-point conversion.
JSN did all he could to help his team keep up with the Bucs, racking up 132 yards and a touchdown on eight catches, but ultimately, the Bucs hit a late field goal to get a big road win, 38-35, in one of the most exciting games of the day.
The Bottom Line
This week’s top entry in the Milly Maker used the right mix of the high-scoring popular option and left $100 on the table by going with the Saints in the DST spot. This week, pickedtherightscrub did exactly that, and with the top two running backs and two of the top three receivers, climbed to the top spot on the leaderboard.
