The Texans and Ravens meet in Week 5 for a battle of the 1-3 squads. Yes, that’s right. The Ravens and Texans are both 1-3 through four weeks of the 2025 season.
It may get worse for Baltimore, who is without Lamar Jackson after he suffered an injury in last week’s contest.
Houston is a 1.5-point favorite and -130 on the moneyline, while Baltimore is +110 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 40.5 points.
Here are my favorite player props for this Week 5 NFL game between the Texans and Ravens.
Texans vs. Ravens Best Prop Bets
Woody Marks anytime touchdown (+150)
Woody Marks may have earned himself the lead running back role after last week’s performance. He rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries against the Titans. He also caught 4-of-5 passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.
The rookie running back has increased his production week after week but finally broke out in Week 4. The Texans will likely look to him again against a weak Baltimore defense.
The Ravens allow the most points and second most yards to opposing teams this year. The numbers are similar for both passing and rushing, making this a golden opportunity for Marks to have another stellar game.
Nick Chubb could steal some carries, but that shouldn’t be too much of a concern. The Texans should utilize their rookie in as many sets as possible since he’s an active pass catcher as well as a good rusher.
Cooper Rush under 30.5 pass attempts (-117)
Jackson suffered a hamstring injury during last week’s game against the Chiefs. Cooper Rush took over and will get his first start with the Ravens this week.
Rush is a career backup quarterback, spending seven years with the Cowboys before joining the Ravens this season. He’s 9-5 in 14 career starts, so it’s not a lost cause for Baltimore.
The Ravens will still likely lead the offense through Derrick Henry. Even with Jackson on the field, Henry gets a ton of usage. With Rush under center, Henry should take on more responsibility. The worry is that the Texans will stack the box for Henry, forcing Rush to throw more often.
Even if that’s the case, he shouldn’t throw more than 30.5 times this week.
C.J. Stroud over 1.5 passing touchdowns (+154)
C.J. Stroud finally recorded his first multi-touchdown game of the season. It came against Tennessee, but it counts all the same. The third-year quarterback will get another weak defensive team in Week 5 with the Ravens.
If Stroud can carry some of the momentum over from last week, he could have another strong performance. He finished Week 4 with 233 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions on 22-of-28 passes. It was by far his best game of the season and helped the team earn its first win.
The Ravens haven’t done anything to prove they’re capable of slowing offenses down. They allowed 41, 17, 38 and 37 points to opposing teams this year. The 17 points was good, but it was against the Browns, who still recorded more offensive yards in the contest.
