The Jets are still seeking their first win of the 2025 NFL season, and they get to face off against the Cowboys, who have one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
Dallas is coming off a 40-40 tie against Green Bay in Week 4, while New York fell short against Miami on the road.
The Cowboys are 1.5-point favorites and -125 on the moneyline, while the Jets are +105 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 47.5 points.
Here are my favorite player props for this Week 5 NFL game between the Jets and Cowboys.
Jets vs. Cowboys Best Prop Bets
Garrett Wilson over 65.5 receiving yards (-110) & anytime TD (+130) – Parlay (+232)
The Cowboys’ defensive struggles are well-documented up to this point. They’ve allowed 40 points to the Packers, 37 to Russell Wilson and the Giants, and 31 to the Bears.
Dallas is allowing the most yards and second most points to opposing teams. This is largely due to its weak pass defense, which also allows the most yards and second most touchdowns in the NFL.
Say what you will about the Jets and their struggles in 2025, but there’s a clear opportunity in Week 5. The Cowboys’ defense is porous and will need to find a way to contain Garrett Wilson. The Jets star wide receiver has a touchdown in three of four games and leads the team with 27 receptions and 38 targets. The next closest is Breece Hall at 13 receptions and 19 targets.
Wilson’s receptions line is set at over/under 5.5 (-122), which is also a great bet. As for his yards, he’s cleared 80 receiving yards in three of four games with his lowest total being 50 against the Bills. That was also the only game he didn’t have more than 5.5 receptions and only game he didn’t score.
The receiving yards and touchdown prop are both excellent solo bets, but if you parlay them, it’ll give you +232 odds. If you add in the receptions, the parlay expands to +294.
George Pickens over 72.5 receiving yards (-111) & anytime TD (+105) – Parlay (+208)
The Jets also have a weak defense, though it’s not as bad as the Cowboys. Still, teams have scored 34, 32, 29 and 27 points through the first four weeks of the regular season.
In comes Dak Prescott, who has two great games and two bad games this season. Both of his good games have resulted in 40 points for the Cowboys. Regardless of outcome, however, Prescott is slinging the rock often. He’s healthy and Dallas doesn’t have a great rushing attack, so it’s all in Prescott’s hands.
Additionally, the team finds itself in shootouts each week thanks to its defense. It’s essentially necessary for Prescott to throw as much as he does. CeeDee Lamb typically benefits as the top receiver, but he’s out with an injury. Instead, George Pickens will be the primary target, and he proved capable in last week’s tie vs. the Packers.
Pickens caught 8-of-11 targets for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He should see a similar level of volume in this week’s game against the Jets. I’m mirroring the Wilson prop bets with Pickens also hitting his over for receiving yards and scoring a touchdown. This parlay yields +208 value.
If you’re looking to get more value, Pickens to record over 5.5 receptions is set at +116. Adding that to the parlay boosts the odds to +286.
Parlaying all six of these picks together will give bettors a six-leg parlay with +950 odds.
