The Bills star is posting a 70.2% completion percentage and has thrown for 964 passing yards, seven touchdowns and one interception while adding 159 rushing yards and three scores with his legs. Allen’s 6-foot-5 frame makes him a unique threat, and the Bills rely on this frequently.
Through the 114 starts in his career, Allen has tallied 70 rushing scores. This rate has grown in recent years, with him tallying 28 rushing touchdowns over the past two years alone. He also has five rushing scores against the Patriots in his career, including finding the end zone in both matchups in 2023.
New England has yet to face a true dual-threat quarterback this year. None of Geno Smith, Bryce Young, Aaron Rodgers, nor Tua Tagovailoa are threats with their legs, and the Patriots have not been tested in this area. Allen has rushed the ball at least four times in every game this season, including tallying 14 rush attempts in Week 1. Buffalo has mostly been able to keep opponents at arm’s length and has been primarily looking to milk the clock for stretches this season.
Over the past three weeks, Allen has attempted 25, 28 and 22 passing attempts. This has resulted in passing yard totals of 148, 213 and 209 yards. However, in Week 1 against the Ravens, Allen took 46 pass attempts and threw for 392 passing yards. New England has struggled to defend the pass this year.
