The 2025 NFL season is onto the Sunday slate of Week 5. This is a look at my favorite player prop bets for NFL Week 5. You can place all of these bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
NFL Week 5 Player Props
Texans at Ravens: Nico Collins Anytime TD (+140)
Nico Collins is one of the most talented receivers in the NFL. He has had issues staying on the field in recent seasons, but when he plays, he is a special talent. Since the start of the 2023 season, Collins ranks sixth in the NFL in receiving yards per game. Collins is the best target that C.J. Stroud has to work with, but it has been a slow start to the season for the Texans’ offense. Houston just got its first win of the season and needs to take advantage of this banged-up Ravens team. Not only will Lamar Jackson miss the game, but the defense is littered with injuries as well. Marlon Humphrey, Chidobe Awuzie and Roquan Smith are all out, and Kyle Hamilton is questionable. The Ravens already rank 25th in defensive EPA/dropback and that should only get worse with the injuries on defense. Nico Collins is getting 44.4% of the Texans’ red-zone targets, the biggest red-zone target share in the NFL this season. Collins already has two touchdowns this season and should get a third in this game.
Cowboys at Jets: George Pickens Longest Reception o24.5 Yards (-120)
This should be a fun game between the Jets and the Cowboys. Both offenses have been explosive this season, while both defenses have struggled. The Jets rank 30th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback, while the Cowboys rank eighth in offensive EPA/dropback. Dak Prescott should pitch it all over the yard against the Jets. With CeeDee Lamb set to miss another game, George Pickens should be the recipient of most of the targets. Pickens was already playing well before Lamb went down, but his numbers exploded last week. Pickens was targeted 11 times and caught eight of those balls for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Between his size, speed and hands, Pickens is one of the best deep-ball threats in the NFL. Prescott should look to push it down the field to Pickens and hit a pass for at least 25 yards.
Cardinals vs. Titans: Emari Demercado o12.5 Receiving Yards (-116)
The Cardinals’ running back room is riddled with injuries at the moment. Starting running back James Conner and backup running back Trey Benson have both hit the injured reserve list. That means Michael Carter and Emari Demercado will be splitting snaps out of the Cardinals’ backfield. Carter is expected to be the down-to-down rusher, while Demercado will be the third-down back, getting work in the receiving game. Demercado didn’t play the first two games of the season, but he saw some action last week with James Conner out. He had two catches for 13 yards and a score against the Seahawks. There should be even more touches available for Demercado with Trey Benson also out. The Titans rank 30th in the NFL in defensive EPA/play, so the Cardinals should move the ball down the field with ease. The Cardinals should have sustained scoring drives, giving Demercado plenty of chances to pick up chunk yards in the passing game.
