After a month-and-a-half layoff from numbered events, UFC 320 finally lands in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The card is headlined by two massive title fights, and the action begins with a women’s flyweight bout between Venezuela’s Veronica Hardy and Guam’s Brogan Walker.
Hardy is looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Eduarda Moura that snapped her three-fight winning streak, while Walker is desperate to snag her first win in the UFC.
The contenders are set to kick off the early prelims beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Hardy enters as one of the heaviest favorites on the entire card, holding -700 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Walker is listed as a +500 underdog. The total is set at 2.5 rounds.
Here’s my best bet for Saturday night’s flyweight showdown.
Veronica Hardy to win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+300)
Hardy (9-5-1) stands at 5’4″ with a 64-inch reach, and has been a part of the UFC roster since 2016. She dropped her first three fights in the octagon, but rebounded with four wins in her next five bouts. She rode a three-fight winning streak (all decisions) into her last matchup against Moura in Nov. 2024, but got overpowered on the ground and lost via unanimous decision.
At just 29 years old, Hardy is hungry to return to the victory column and continue climbing the flyweight ladder. While she doesn’t have many knockouts or submissions to her name, Hardy effectively manages distance and can step on the gas when she has an edge on the feet — something she’ll possess on Saturday night.
Walker (8-4-0) stands at 5’4″ with a 67-inch reach, and has yet to secure a victory in a UFC octagon. She broke into the promotion with momentum and even reached the finale of TUF Season 30 in 2022, but was finished by Juliana Miller in the third round. She’s fought just one time since — a unanimous decision loss to Iasmin Lucindo in April 2023 — marking a two-and-a-half-year layoff from competition.
Now at 37 years old, time is running out for Walker to make a run at a championship. She needs a statement victory — and a shocking upset over Hardy would do just the trick. To do so, Walker should follow Moura’s blueprint and take the fight to the ground.
This is a must-win for both fighters, so it should make for an exciting matchup. However, I expect Hardy to employ her clear striking advantage and superior movement to overwhelm the ring-rusted Walker and push for a finish. Given her track record of going the distance, Hardy is priced at -250 to win on the scorecards — but considering the lopsided nature of this matchup, there’s value in backing Hardy to win inside the distance for the first time since 2019.
