The MLB-best Milwaukee Brewers took the field for the first time in October on Saturday night — and promptly reminded everyone how they got there in the first place. The Brewers erupted for six runs in the first inning, cruising to a 9-3 blowout victory over the Chicago Cubs at American Family Field.

Three solo shots from Michael Busch, Ian Happ, and Nico Hoerner weren’t enough to keep up with the Brew Crew’s steamrolling efforts. Milwaukee followed up its six-spot with three more runs in the second, all while ace Freddy Peralta delivered 5.2 innings of two-run ball with nine strikeouts.

Milwaukee will be looking to secure another win at home before the series turns over to Chicago — and it’s no surprise that they’re favored to do so. The Brewers are -130 moneyline favorites to win Game 2 on DraftKings Sportsbook, while the Cubs are listed as +107 underdogs. The run total is set at eight runs.

Neither squad has announced a starter for the game, but signs point to southpaw Shota Imanaga (3.73 ERA) toeing the slab for Chicago. He pitched four innings in Game 2 of the Wild Card against the Padres. Milwaukee, meanwhile, could potentially hand the ball to right-hander Quinn Priester (3.32 ERA) or lefty Jose Quintana (3.96 ERA).
