Now we can get down to the heavyweight matchups. The Dodgers and the Phillies have battled for supremacy in the National League all season, pitting superstars against superstars. Now the two face off in the NLDS in what should be an absolute slugfest. And there will be plenty of great player props on the book.
The Phillies open as -123 Moneyline favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Dodgers are priced as +101 underdogs, while the total is set at seven runs. Let’s get into my top player props for Game 1 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Cristopher Sanchez Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+119)
He’s been waiting for this. It’s time for Phillies ace Cristopher Sanchez to set the tone and let the Dodgers know what time it is.
Sanchez has been flat-out dominant at home this season, posting a 1.94 ERA with a 6-0 record. That comes with 115 strikeouts in 97.2 innings. He’s got solid numbers against the Dodgers’ main batters, namely Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman, who are a combined 5-for-27 against him. I’m banking on Sanch racking up strikeouts.
Teoscar Hernandez 2+ Total Bases (+133)
If there’s one batter in this Dodgers lineup that sees Sanchez well, it’s Teoscar Hernandez. Over his career against the Phillies lefty, Hernandez is 5-for-12 with two homers and two doubles. That’s far and away the most success any LA bat has against Sanchez.
It helps that he got his groove back in the Wild Card series against the Reds. Hernandez went 4-for-10 with two homers and a double in the two-game romp over Cincinnati. Count on him to make some hard contact against Sanchez.
Shohei Ohtani Over 14.5 Outs Recorded (-206)
The value on this line is tough, but Shohei has the goods to get through the Phillies’ lineup twice. He’s been ramping up in a big way in anticipation of the postseason, and it’s gone very well. All three of his outings in September were scoreless, including five innings of no-hit ball against the Phillies.
It’s unclear if manager Dave Roberts will let him get close to 100 pitches, but I don’t think he needs to hit triple digits to get through five innings in this one. His stuff looks overwhelming and even a star-studded Philadelphia lineup will struggle.
