Drama was at an all-time high in Game 2 between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. The two sides were locked in a battle all night, threatening to go into extra innings. But it was defense and baserunning that kept the New York Yankees alive, as Jazz Chisholm Jr. used his wheels to score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth.

Chisholm, after his sour postgame media comments following Game 1, turned in a massive play to prolong the season. Closer David Bednar slammed the door on Boston, and we’re headed to Game 3. As if two games weren’t enough, we now have a third win-or-go-home game on Thursday. A good day to call in sick to work…

For Game 3, the Yankees are priced at -153 on the moneyline as the home favorites. Boston will be +126 road underdogs. Rookie Connelly Early is on the mound for the road underdog Red Sox, while rookie Cam Schlittler takes the bump for the Yankees. A little rookie vs. rookie action with the season on the line, why not? The total for this game is set at eight runs.
