On November 22 at UFC Qatar, the former Welterweight Champion No. 1, Belal Muhammad, returns to take on No.6 Ian Machado Garry. The main event of this card is a Lightweight bout between No. 2 Arman Tsarukyan vs. No. 6 Dan Hooker.

Machado Garry is a -170 favorite, while Muhammad is a +142 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Garry opened as a -142 favorite against Muhammad.

At UFC 315 in May, Muhammad suffered his first defeat since 2019 against Jack Della Maddalena. Before this defeat, Muhammad had an 11-fight unbeaten streak en route to winning the 170-pound title against Leon Edwards at UFC 304 in July 2024. This will be Muhammad’s first time competing on a UFC Fight Night since he beat Vicente Luque in April 2022.

His opponent, Machado Garry, is 27 years old and holds a 9-1 record in the UFC, most recently defeating Carlos Prates in April. This will be his third fight in the previous 11 months and his first against a former UFC Champion. The last time Machado Garry fought a top-three contender was against Shavkat Rakhmonov, which was the first defeat of his MMA career.
