MLB Best Bets: Top Same Game Parlay for Reds vs. Dodgers Game 2

The bullpen made things closer than they had to be, but the Dodgers emerged victorious is Game 1 of their Wild Card series against the Reds on Tuesday. Now, on Wednesday, Los Angeles will look to punch its ticket to the NLDS.

There are hundreds of prop bets for this game on the DraftKings Sportsbook, but let’s put together a same game parlay for Game 2, which gets going at Dodger Stadium at 9:08 p.m. ET.

Reds vs. Dodgers Same Game Parlay

  • Yoshinobu Yamamoto 6+ Strikeouts
  • Dodgers Over 3.5 Extra-Base Hits
  • Dodgers ML

Yoshinobu Yamamoto 6+ Strikeouts

You don’t have to search too long or too hard to find Yamamoto’s strikeout credentials. In fact, among qualified pitchers, Yamamoto’s 29.4% strikeout rate was the fifth-highest mark in baseball in 2025, thanks primarily to a nasty split-finger fastball that posted a 42.1% whiff rate during the regular season. As it pertains to this prop specifically, Yamamoto has hit this over in each of his last 12 starts — a span of time where the RHP’s strikeout rate was 31.3%. As for his opponent, the Reds registered a robust 24.6% strikeout rate as a team in September. Cincinnati isn’t exactly top of the league in contact rate.

Dodgers Over 3.5 Extra-Base Hits

In general, it’s quite easy to envision the Dodgers racking up extra-base hits in every game they play. This is a lineup that posted an NL-best .188 ISO during the regular season, after all. This is also a lineup that literally just clubbed five home runs in Game 1. Still, it’s worth mentioning the presence of Zack Littell in Game 2. Only Jake Irvin surrendered more opponent long balls than Littell in 2025, who served up 36 home runs in his 186.2 innings of work with both the Reds and the Rays. If that wasn’t enough of a red flag, Dodger Stadium was by far the easiest place to hit a homer this season, according to Statcast’s Park Factors. I’d obviously be just as happy if Los Angeles strings together four doubles on Wednesday evening, but I feel strongly that it’ll reach the seats once or twice against Littell.

Dodgers ML

We all see where this is going, right? I might be more open to the concept of a Cincinnati upset if Nick Lodolo or Andrew Abbott were taking the mound tonight — even Brady Singer — but my level of faith in Littell is very low. Conversely, by xERA, Yamamoto was the second-best qualified starter in MLB in 2025 (2.73), behind only Paul Skenes. It’s not like the Reds’ lineup is all that imposing, either. In the season’s second-half, Cincinnati managed just an 89 wRC+. That was the fourth-lowest mark in baseball.

SGP Odds: +166
