EuroLeague action is finally underway, as teams across Europe look to get off on the right foot in this new season. Milano got off to a strong start by beating Crvena Zvezda, while KK Partizan dropped a game to Dubai. Now the two square off on Thursday in a clash of playoff hopefuls.
KK Partizan are three-point favorites and hold -148 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. Milano is the underdog at +124 on the moneyline. The total is set at 166.5 points. Let’s look at the best bets and predictions for this contest.
Milano at KK Partizan pick preview
Milano sure got their season off on the right foot with their win over Crvena. Plenty of their new additions were able to get their feet wet, including Marko Guduric. But it was Zach LeDay who led them to victory. After a strong year with Milano last year, he might be taking a step further this season. Leday put up 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting against Crvena, including this circus shot in the second quarter:
Partizan did not get off to a fun start, losing 89-76 to Dubai. But there is a ton of talent on this squad, and it’ll take time to gel. Their forward/wing group, in particular, is full of talent; some of their notable names include Jabari Parker, Aleksej Pokusevski, and Isaac Bonga. The versatility on both ends of the floor for this group is what drives Partizan. They’ll also be counting on Carlik Jones and new addition Shake Milton to provide punch out of the backcourt. Of course, they’re already cooking up some nasty plays, as EuroLeague coaches love to do.
Milano at KK Partizan pick, best bet
How these teams contend with their respective forward groups is of great interest to me. Can Milano cook up an answer for the Poku/Parker/Bonga triumvirate? And can their new additions gel in time? I’m not sure how they stop Parker or deal with the defensive excellence of Bonga. And if Milton gets loose, he can change this game. I’m buying the home favorites to get their first win of the season.
