Matchweek two of the Champions League features a rematch of last season’s Europa League semi-final.
Tottenham won both legs, beating the Noweigan side 3-1 at home before securing a 2-0 road win in the second leg. Considering a 5-1 aggregate score over two legs, I’m surprised these odds are as close as they are.
Tottenham showed they are a step above Bodo/Glimt, and this Spurs side is probably better this season under Thomas Frank. Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League a season ago, and they currently sit in fourth place after six games.
It’s still early, but the North London side looks like they have taken a step in the right direction since the last time these sides faced. Spurs actually conceded possession in both Europa League games against Bodo/Glimt, but recorded more shots and more importantly, goals.
Bodo are currently in second place in their domestic league, trailing Viking FK by a point with a game in hand. In their first Champions League game of this season, they came away with a respectable 2-2 draw away to Slavia Prague.
Spurs got their European campaign underway with a win, beating Villarreal 1-0 at home. Tottenham were frustratingly held to a 1-1 draw against Wolves this past Sunday in the Premier League, and will be looking to right the ship on Tuesday. I think they will do just that, and beat Bodo/Glimt for the third time this calendar year.
