Running backs are some of the most dynamic performers in fantasy football, but they can also be some of the most volatile on a week-to-week basis. Opportunities shift and allowe new players to step up, while rookies and big plays can also shake up the RB rankings every week. In Week 5, we start bye week season as well, but there are still 28 teams in action, including an early game in London and the three typical primetime slots. To help you keep track of all the latest running back shifts, you can find my top 30 RB rankings for Week 5 listed below.
In Week 4, Ashton Jeanty (37.5 FPTS) had his breakout week as the top running back on the board. He was followed by Josh Jacobs (31.7 FPTS) and fill-in Kenneth Gainwell (31.4 FPTS), who ran wild in Dublin. Bijan Robinson (31.1 FPTS), Omarion Hamton (30.5 FPTS), Justice Hill (28.7 FPTS), Woody Marks (27.9 FPTS), Christian McCaffrey (26.1 FPTS), and James Cook (25.5 FPTS) all had over 25 points with big games as well.
While there are still a few key running backs playing in the two Monday Night Football matchups, it’s not too early to start peeking ahead to what to do in your Week 5 lineup. This week the ranks are stretched a little thin due to bye weeks, with the Falcons, Bears, Packers and Steelers getting the week off. DraftKings Network has coverage to help you with all your lineup choices throughout the week, with the latest news and injury updates.
As part of our coverage, each Monday throughout the season, I’ll deliver my RB rankings. Since these rankings debut on Monday, anything that changes throughout the week will need to be adjusted accordingly before kickoff.
