Ollie Gordon O 25.5 Rushing Yards (-112)

With the Dolphins struggling with their rushing attack, Ollie Gordon was given an expanded role in Week 3. Facing the Bills, the rookie rushed nine times for 38 yards and a touchdown, which was 42.9% of the running back carries for Miami. The Dolphins lost the game 31-21, but it was a competitive affair for most of the contest and Miami produced a season-high 130 rushing yards as a team.

With De’Von Achane being such a big part of the Dolphins’ passing game – he ranks second in target share (23.9%) and fourth in catches among running backs (18) – having Gordon take some of the ground work off Achane’s plate makes a ton of sense for this Miami offense and is likely the plan going forward after Gordon’s strong showing in Week 3.

Gordon should approach double-digit carries Monday vs. the Jets and he has a great chance to exceed 25.5 rushing yards with this type of role, regardless of this being an average matchup vs. a New York defense that is giving up the 15th-most yards per rush in the league (4.1). This season, Gordon has been effective, averaging 4.2 YPC and among the backs that have seen under 20 carries this season, the 21-year-old ranks third in missed tackles forced (4) and 11th in YAC (53).
