Following the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, the PGA TOUR’s fall swing resumes with the Sanderson Farms Championship. This event will be played at the Country Club of Jackson (par 72, 7,461 yards, Bermuda greens) in Jackson, Missouri, which has hosted every Sanderson Farms Championship since 2015. Kevin Yu (-23) claimed his first PGA TOUR win at this tournament last season and this week, there will be 132 players competing and a standard top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.
The CC of Jackson is a long but easy par 72 that features large greens, 56 bunkers and water in play on seven holes. The CC of Jackson is a driver-heavy course and while both short and long hitters can succeed at this venue, elite drivers will have an advantage at this track that features little trouble off the tee. Of the last five winners, two have led their fields in SG OTT and three have finished the event top-20 in driving distance.
Per usual, being in pristine form with your irons is a must at the CC of Jackson, as three of the last five victors here have finished top-six in SG APP and with this track being a course that always yields low numbers, being in compelling form with your flat stick is crucial. Finally, players who score well on 400-450-yard par fours are sharp targets at the CC of Jackson, as six of the 10 par fours at this par 72 fall in this range.

Top DraftKings PGA TOUR DFS Bargain Plays for the Sanderson Farms Championship
Ricky Castillo ($7,400) – Castillo’s game is trending up right now and the Florida product is poised for a strong Sanderson Farms Championship debut this week. Castillo has made four of his last five cuts and all of these finishes have been results of T-34 or better, including a T-30 at the Procore Championship earlier this month.
During this five-star stretch, Castillo has shot under par in 14 of his 20 rounds and he has gained strokes OTT at every tournament. Castillo is way underpriced for his form and has top-20 upside this week.
Matt Schmid ($7,400) – After missing the cut at the BMW PGA Championship in his last start, Schmid should get back on track at the CC of Jackson this week. The German professional finished T-16 at this course last year and before missing the cut at the BMW PGA Championship, Schmid had made six cuts in a row worldwide, including a T-17 finish at the Genesis Scottish Open.
Schmid has flashed strong upside this season with seven top-25 finishes on the PGA TOUR and he is an outstanding bargain at this affordable salary.
Hayden Springer ($7,200) – Springer has been very consistent. This season, the 28-year-old has advanced to the weekend in 14 of his 18 solo starts with four top-25 finishes. Springer’s driver has been his best club, as he ranks 47th in SG OTT this season and he has gained strokes OTT at four consecutive tournaments, which is great news with the lengthy CC of Jackson up next.
Springer finished T-8 in his first attempt at this par 72 last year and that week, he posted a 6-under 66 in three of his four rounds. Returning to the CC of Jackson this week sitting 42 spots higher in the world golf rankings, Springer is a threat to finish inside the top-10 again at this track.
Lanto Griffin ($7,000) – Griffin has finished inside the top-30 in two of his four starts at the CC of Jackson and he is fresh off a T-3 finish at the Procore Championship two weeks ago. That week, Griffin opened and closed the event with a 7-under 65. Additionally, the 37-year-old finished the tournament first in SGP and seventh in SG APP. This marked Griffin’s best finish on the PGA TOUR since 2022 and in his last five starts, he has now made four cuts and carded three top-25 finishes.
Griffin ranks 11th in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds and the veteran is a steal at only $7,000 in his outstanding form.
