EuroLeague: FC Bayern Munich at Panathinaikos prediction, pick for Tuesday 9/30/25

A new EuroLeague season is upon us. Both FC Bayern Munich and Panathinaikos will have something to prove this season. Bayern narrowly missed the playoffs last season while Panathinaikos fell short of its championship goals. Both teams have re-tooled and are looking to make noise in the upcoming season. Tuesday gives them a chance to take a step in the right direction.

Panathinaikos is a 10-point favorite and holds -575 odds on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. FC Bayern Munich is the underdog at +425 on the moneyline. The total is set at 171 points. Let’s look at the best bets and predictions for this contest.

Panathinaikos vs. FC Bayern Munich prediction, pick

Bayern have their work cut out for them to regain a playoff position. Their three top scorers from last season are all gone and the backcourt has a new look. Justinian Jessup and Kamar Baldwin will try to make up for some of that scoring, while Andreas Obst continues his sharpshooting ways. New additions to the frontcourt, including Wenyen Gabriel, will bolster the team’s defense and help rebalance the roster. It’s an interesting formula that should make for a fun watch.

Panathinaikos brings a lot of continuity to this season. Cedi Osman, Juancho Hernangomez, Omer Yurtseven, and many other key contributors are back. Most of all, Kendrick Nunn comes back as the reigning EuroLeague MVP. His elite all-around play nearly won them a championship, and the team hopes he can take them to bigger and better things this season.

They netted a potentially huge addition by signing Richaun Holmes away from the NBA. The Michael Jordan of the mid-range push shot could be a significant contributor to their frontcourt and form a solid two-man game with Nunn. It certainly presents this Bayern team with a lot to compete with.

Last year, Bayern prided themselves on their scoring, but there wasn’t much defense to be found. That gap has been exacerbated with their offseason additions. They’ll be able to score enough, but I don’t see enough defensive chops here to contain Nunn and Co. This is sure to be a high-scoring game.

Best Bet: Over 171 Total Points (-112)
