Dak Prescott best prop bets for Packers vs. Cowboys on Sunday Night Football Week 4

By: Sean Barnard

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will host the Green Bay Packers for the Week 4 Sunday Night Football matchup. Plenty of eyes will be on the game with Micah Parsons making his return to Dallas for the first time since the trade exactly one month ago. But both these teams are still looking to cement their place as threats in the NFC after hitting some early-season turbulence.

Green Bay enters with a 2-1 record but will be looking to wipe the slate clean after losing to the Cleveland Browns 13-10 last week. Dallas holds a 1-2 record with their lone victory coming over the New York Giants in a 40-37 overtime shootout.

The Packers enter as seven-point favorites and hold -345 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Cowboys hold +275 odds of getting the outright victory, with the game total set at O/U 47.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action. This article will look at my top Prescott prop bets ahead of tonight’s Week 4 Sunday Night Football matchup.

Best Dak Prescott Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Dak Prescott to Throw an Interception (-170)

The -170 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook make it a bit intimidating, but it is priced high for good reason. Prescott has three interceptions across the past two weeks and a 1:1 touchdown/interception ratio on the season. He will now face off against a Packers’ defense that has looked like one of the most elite units in the sport.

Through the opening three weeks, the Packers have two interceptions and three total turnovers forced. Green Bay enters as comfortable favorites in this matchup, and it would not be a surprise if the Cowboys are forced to play from behind. This is especially the case considering the defensive concerns Dallas possesses. Through the opening three games, the Cowboys rank 27th in points allowed, 30th in yards given up, 32nd in passing yards conceded, 32nd in net yards per pass attempt and 31st in EPA per pass play. In the last two weeks alone, they have given up 891 yards of total offense and 68 points while facing the Giants and Bears. Green Bay brings an even greater level of offensive talent into the matchup.

For the Cowboys to have a chance in this game, Prescott is going to need to take some chances and make big plays. This leads to higher-risk pass attempts. It may not be an interception that hurts the team in a major way, but expect the deep shots to be a necessary and regular part of the offense. With CeeDee Lamb injured, the concerns are only magnified. Expect at least one slip-up in this game and for Prescott to notch his fourth interception of the season.

Dak Prescott Under 236.5 Passing Yards (-112)

Through the opening three games, Prescott is posting a 71.4% completion percentage and has thrown for 800 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. He threw for 188 yards against the Eagles in Week 1, 361 yards against the Giants in Week 2 and 251 yards against the Bears last week, coming out to an average of 266.7 passing yards per game. Prescott will now face off with a Packers defense that allowed 225 passing yards to Jared Goff in the season opener, 200 to Jayden Daniels in Week 2 and 142 yards to Joe Flacco last week.

Green Bay has given up the fewest overall points and ranks third in yards allowed. The Packers rank seventh in passing yards allowed, fifth in passing touchdowns conceded and first in net yards per pass attempt. They have not allowed a passer to throw for more than 236.5 passing yards yet this season, even while taking an early lead against the Lions and Commanders and forcing them to attack through the air.

Where the outlook will be especially concerning for Prescott is his ability to get throws off. Green Bay has 10 sacks as a team through the first three weeks and is sure to give Parsons ample opportunities to take down his former teammate. Prescott has been sacked five times through the opening three games. Without his best wide receiver and facing one of the best defenses in the league, expect Prescott to struggle.
