White Sox at Nationals game delayed due to rain Saturday 9/27/25

UPDATE: White Sox at Nationals is expected to begin at 4:45 p.m. EST.

Saturday afternoon’s matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Washington Nationals has been delayed due to rain at Nationals Park.

The contest was originally scheduled to begin shortly after 4 p.m. EST. However, inclement weather in the area will force the start time to be moved back.

An updated time for first pitch has not yet been announced.

DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Nationals as -113 Moneyline favorites while the White Sox come in at -107. The run total sits at 8.5 for Saturday’s contest.

Jake Irvin (5.69 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 118 SO) makes his final appearance of the year for Washington. He faces Chicago lefty Tyler Gilbert (4.01 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 48 SO).
