This bet can be found under the “Match Props” tab. I am taking both teams to score and at least three or more goals to be scored in this game. In the last five meetings between these sides in all competitions, there have been at least three goals scored on all five occasions. In four of those games, both teams found themselves on the scoresheet.
This is a fixture that brings goals, and I expect that to be the theme once again on Saturday. Chelsea won last season’s Premier League game 4-2 at home, and a similar result in this one would make a lot of sense.
In the opening five games of this Premier League season, both of these teams have only been shut out once, scoring in each of the other four fixtures.
Chelsea have scored 10 times, conceding five en route to their 2-2-1 record. Their loss to Man United last week was their first of the season, but a lot of that result can be attributed to an early red card for the Blues.
Brighton have only won once this season and hold a 1-2-2 record. They’ve scored six and conceded eight in their opening five Premier League games. Brighton have shown that they can compete with the best teams in the league, as evidenced by their 2-1 win vs. Man City in matchweek 3.
I lean towards Chelsea in this one, but I would rather back a high-scoring affair. Expect an end-to-end game where both teams create chances and put them away.
