What happened to Wyatt Langford? Live injury updates for Rangers vs. Twins 9/23/25

Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford left Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Twins early due to tightness in his side.

The 23-year-old was 0-for-2 on Tuesday, but has played a huge role for the Rangers this season in his second year in the big leagues. He slashes .241/.344/.431 with 118 hits, 73 runs 62 RBI and 22 home runs in 134 appearances.

At the time Langford exited in the fifth inning, the Rangers trailed the Twins 2-1.

Texas finds itself all but eliminated from postseason contention at 79-77 with just a handful of games remaining in the regular season. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Langford shut down for the remainder of the year.
