Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
It’s a full 15-game slate for the final Tuesday of the MLB regular season. Here are my top three home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s action on the diamond: Jose Altuve, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Rowdy Tellez.

Jazz Chisholm 1+ Home Run (+317)
It was an amazing start to the season for Shane Smith, who not only made the All-Star Game as a rookie, but did so as a Rule 5 pick. However, things have taken a downturn since the beginning of July. In the 12 starts and 60.2 innings Smith has thrown in the past three months, he’s registered an underwhelming 4.90 ERA and a 4.94 FIP. The main issue? Left-handed opponents. In that same span of time, Smith has allowed opposing LHBs to combine to hit 2.50 home runs per nine with a .521 slugging percentage. That’s going to be a serious issue on Tuesday, as Smith faces off with a Yankees lineup that has six different left-handed bats with at least 19 long balls. All six would make for a good bet, yet I’ll focus my attention on Jazz Chisholm. The 27-year-old has been an absolute monster when stepping into the batter’s box at Yankee Stadium in 2025, posting a .265 ISO and a .910 OPS within the split. Chisholm already has 31 home runs. I think he’ll have at least 32 before Smith exits this contest.
Rowdy Tellez 1+ Home Run (+421)
Rowdy Tellez has only seen 277 plate appearances against right-handed pitching this season, but he’s certainly taken advantage of his limited opportunities with both Texas and Seattle. Tellez sports a .224 ISO within the split and he’s averaging a home run for every 16.2 at-bats he gets versus an RHP. That includes a pinch-hit long ball last Friday in an eventual loss to the Marlins, Tellez’s 16th of the year. Specific to tonight, Tellez and the rest of the Rangers’ lineup will square-off with Zebby Matthews, an enticing young righty who is certainly not as bad as his 5.97 ERA would suggest. Still, Matthews has had trouble consistently retiring opposing LHBs, allowing left-handed opponents to slash .316/.367/.533 with a .383 wOBA. Matthews has also surrendered 1.98 home runs per nine in opposite-hand matchups. Look for Tellez to take advantage of that flaw.
Jose Altuve 1+ Home Run (+390)
It’s been a disappointing season in so many ways for Jose Altuve, yet the former AL MVP is heating up when it matters most, batting .333 with a pair of home runs in his past eight games. Altuve isn’t going to wow anyone with his stature or his Baseball Savant page — he sits in just the fourth percentile in average exit velocity (85.3) — but last week the veteran surpassed the 25 home run plateau for the fourth time in his career. He’s still got some pop. Altuve has also always hit left-handed pitching at an elite level, sporting a .324 average and .894 OPS within the split across more than 2,200 plate appearances. On Tuesday, the lefty in question is Jeffrey Springs at Sutter Health Park. Like most A’s pitchers, Springs has not enjoyed his time in Sacramento. In fact, Springs has conceded 1.98 opponent long balls per nine at home in 2025. That figure jumps to 2.17 home runs per nine if you isolate Springs’ matchups with opposing RHBs. Not great! …Unless you’re backing an Altuve home run prop.
