Week 3 of the 2025 NFL regular season featured some low-scoring games early that suddenly brought plenty of drama at the end with blocked kicks, wild finishes, and plenty of excitement. Several fantasy football heroes emerged, led by a surprising stack and a leading scorer that was in under 1% of fantasy entries in the NFL $3.25M FANTASY FOOTBALL MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST], which gave entries a chance to claim a $1 million top prize. This week, an entry from Philnomenon finished in first place on the leaderboard, scoring more than the other 191,175 entries, with a winning margin of 2.5 fantasy points. Philnomenon finished with 206.56 fantasy points to end Sunday afternoon in the top spot on the board

Raiders of the lost Week 3
While the Raiders come up short on the road against the Commanders, they played a huge part in securing this entry the win. Geno Smith (26.06 FPTS) was owned in barely 1% of lineups and was the third-highest scoring QB on the board with 289 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a successful two-point conversion.
He threw all three of those touchdowns to Tre Tucker (43.9 FPTS), who was owned in a minuscule 0.6% of entries.
Tucker finished as the top fantasy producer on the main slate with eight catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns. While he won’t be at this level all season, there are plenty of reasons to like him as a waiver wire pickup, since his workload has been consistent and his upside has been apparent in the wide-open Raiders’ WR room.
Taylor-made backfield
While the rare and successful Raiders stack did most of the heavy lifting for this entry, there were other key contributors as well, including Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (35.8 FPTS), who had three touchdowns of his own while helping his Colts improve to 3-0.
Taylor and the Colts have been one of the biggest fantasy stories of the first three weeks of the season, and they’ll look to keep it rolling in Week 4 as they visit the Rams in one of the late games.
Alongside Taylor in the backfield, this entry played the seemingly always productive Christian McCaffrey (24 FPTS) and Jordan Mason (26.6 FPTS). McCaffrey had no touchdowns but 140 rushing and receiving yards along with 10 catches to still have a huge fantasy day.
Mason and the Vikings pillaged the Bengals, 48-10, with Mason carrying the load with 116 rushing yards and two rushing scores. Carson Wentz (15.3 FPTS) filled in for J.J. McCarthy (ankle) and Mason stepped up in the absence of Aaron Jones Sr. (hamstring).
Why just pears some when you can Pearsall
Along with the monster game from Tre Tucker at receiver, Philnomenon got a huge performance from 49ers receiver Ricky Pearsall (22.7 FPTS) while DK Metcalf (12.2 FPTS) and Brock Bowers (9.8 FPTS) were solid as well.
Pearsall and McCaffrey were the two players from this lineup in the late window, and both helped the 49ers eke out a narrow, 16-15 win at home over the Cardinals. Pearsall finished with eight catches for 117 yards to go over 100 yards for the second time in the first three weeks of the season.
Defense wins fantasy contests
Week 3 featured plenty of high-scoring defenses on the board this week, with special teams touchdowns in many of the games going a long way to determining the outcomes.
The entry from Philnomenon had the top DST available, though, since the Vikings had a pair of return touchdowns, four sacks and five takeaways while allowing just 10 points. They finished with 30 fantasy points, which is the highest single-game total for any fantasy defense to this point in the season.
The Bottom Line
The Vikings and Raiders were huge contributors to Philnomenon’s big week, and the leverage stack of Geno Smith and Tre Tucker helped separate this entry from the rest of the back. With big days from Jonathan Taylor and Ricky Pearsall as well, this entry definitely claimed its crown in Week 3!
