The semi-finals of the WNBA playoffs begin on Sunday with a pair of Game 1s. The Aces are hosting the Fever, and the Lynx are hosting the Mercury. Below, I have featured two of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for these contests on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Kelsey Mitchell 20+ Points (-135)
Mitchell was outstanding in the Fever’s first-round series vs. the Dream. The guard scored 27, 19 and 24 points in three contests, an impressive feat given Atlanta finished the regular season ranked second in defensive rating. Mitchell led Indiana with a 26.4% usage rate and 32.4 minutes per game in the first round, and this immense workload is guaranteed to continue for the rest of the playoffs, with Caitlin Clark (groin), Sophie Cunningham (knee) and Aari McDonald (foot) all sidelined.
Mitchell has played 12 games without Clark, Cunningham and McDonald this season. She is leading Indiana with 20.6 points per game in these contests and has scored 20+ points in seven of these 12 tilts. Mitchell is facing the Aces in the second round, and Las Vegas’ defense was lackluster in its first-round series vs. Seattle, ranking sixth in defensive rating of the eight playoffs teams.
Alyssa Thomas U 15.5 Points (-125)
While Thomas is one of the best players in the WNBA, she is a much better playmaker than scorer and should fall short of 15.5 points in this difficult road matchup vs. the Lynx. Minnesota is the No. 1 ranked defense in the league, and in her two matchups against them, the veteran scored 29 and 12 points. The difference between these two matchups is that the big outing came on her home floor, while Sunday’s Game 1 will take place in Minnesota.
Thomas has stayed under 15.5 points in eight of her past road starts, and Phoenix enters tonight’s tilt as eight-point underdogs. In losses this season, her production has dropped to just 14.6 points per game.
