Early in the third quarter of the Arizona Cardinals’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon, running back James Conner went down awkwardly after a one-yard rush. He suffered an ankle injury on the play, and the Cardinals team spilled onto the field to support him as he was carted back to the locker room. Very swiftly, he was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
