Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Giants: SNF (8:20pm ET)

We have a matchup of winless teams on SNF, as the Chiefs play at the Giants to finish off Sunday’s NFL Week 3 card. While many of us expecting the Giants to be 0-2 at this stage of the season, the Chiefs are obviously a surprise. Historically speaking, the season is on the line for Kansas City, as 0-3 teams essentially never reach the postseason.

I expect to see that sense of urgency play out on the field for the Chiefs, and for them to ultimately win the game. But I also expect to see a desperate Patrick Mahomes, which over the course of his career has meant being more willing to run the ball himself. However, in this 2025 NFL season, Mahomes has already been putting himself out there running the ball.

In Week 1 against the Chargers, Mahomes finished with a rushing line of 6-57-1. In Week 2 in Philly, Mahomes went for a 7-66-1 line on the ground. Meanwhile, the Giants have been allowing opposing quarterbacks to scamper, including 11 carries for 68 yards from Jayden Daniels in Week 1. While not known for his legs, Dak Prescott also took three carries for 17 yards last week.

For all intensive purposes the season is on the line here, and I expect Mahomes to treat it as such. Look for him to make plays on the ground and find a way to win this one in the Meadowlands.

NFL Pick: Patrick Mahomes OVER 27.5 Rushing Yards (-110) – 1-unit
