All eyes will be on Cleveland tomorrow to see if Josh Jacobs can make history. Green Bay’s starting running back has the chance to tie an incredible record if he can get in the end zone against the Browns. With that in mind, you can bet that Josh Jacobs prop bets will be a popular commodity tomorrow.
All that stands between Jacobs and LaDainian Tomlinson’s record of 12 consecutive games with a rushing touchdown is the Cleveland defense. Easy enough, right?
The Packers are -8.5 favorites on the road with -485 odds on the Moneyline. The over/under is set at 41.5 points. Let’s dig into the best Josh Jacobs prop bets for this contest.
Best Josh Jacobs prop bet vs. Browns
You’d think that the Browns would be a cake matchup. Bad team, great game script for a bell-cow running back, what more could you ask for? Well, Cleveland has been a nightmare for running backs through two weeks.
Just look at how starting running backs have fared against the Browns. In Week 1, breakout star Chase Brown was bottled up for 43 yards on 21 carries. Then, they put a lid on Derrick Henry in Week 2 as the king ran for 23 yards on 11 carries. Talk about coming down to earth after Henry shredded the Bills in Week 1. Cleveland has the fewest total rush yards allowed through two weeks, and has allowed only 2.1 yards per carry.
It’s not a question of volume or luck. They simply have a spectacular run defense, anchored by Myles Garrett and No. 5 pick Mason Graham. Those two devour blockers up front, and Devin Bush comes in to clean up the mess.
Jacobs’ rushing total is understandably high, and he’s a near two-to-one favorite to score a touchdown. But with Cleveland shutting down two incredible running backs in the first two weeks, I’m banking on them going 3/3.
