Emeka Egbuka and the Bucs will be looking to improve to a 3-0 start this season with a win over the Jets on Sunday. It will be Tampa Bay’s home opener, so expect a raucous crowd. Emeka Egbuka has gotten off to a great start in his NFL career, recording 96 yards and three touchdowns in his first two games.

I am going to take Egbuka to record at least four catches for the third consecutive game to start his NFL career. The rookie first round pick out of Ohio State has put the league on notice in his first two outings, and the absence of Chris Godwin has provided him with a legit WR2 role behind Mike Evans.
Baker Mayfield clearly feels like he can trust the young rookie, targeting him 13 times in the opening two weeks. In Week 1, he caught four of six targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns. Last week, he caught four of seven targets for 29 yards and one touchdown.
With that kind of volume against a struggling Jets defense, this total feels too low. Even though Tampa Bay are 2-0, it doesn’t feel like their passing offense has really gotten going yet as they rank 26th in passing yards per game with 175. They’ve played two stingy defenses in Atlanta and Houston, but might have an easier matchup this week against a Jets team who have allowed 64 points in two games.
Egbuka has been a touchdown machine thus far, but you feel as though there is more meat on the bone for him in terms of receptions and yards. This could be the week he really breaks out and announces himself as a star.
