We love some AFC South action, don’t we folks? You never know what’s going to happen when these divisional clashes go down. Week 3 finds the 2-0 Indianapolis Colts, surprise leaders in the division, facing the 0-2 Tennessee Titans.
The Colts are favored by 5.5 points and hold -225 odds on the moneyline at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Titans have +185 odds of winning outright, with the game total set at 43.5. There are numerous ways to get involved in the action beyond simply backing a side. This article will look at my three favorite prop bets for this Week 3 game between the Colts and the Titans.
Colts vs. Titans Best Prop Bets
Jonathan Taylor 2+ Total Touchdowns
Jonathan Taylor has been a monster through two weeks as the Colts have rolled. Their star running back has 236 total yards on the ground while adding 77 yards through the air. However, he’s yet to score a rushing touchdown, and has one score through the air. This is the week where Taylor finds the end zone in a big way.
The Titans have allowed 300 rushing yards and three touchdowns through the first two weeks. With the game script expected to favor Indianapolis through this one, there is value in Taylor getting multiple scores as he grinds down this Titans defense.
Cam Ward 1+ Interceptions
Though the Titans are 0-2, Cam Ward’s stats have not looked great, but it is clear that he has the talent to succeed. Ward is a confident gunslinger who will try to fit any ball into any window, often with success. But the Titans are putting a ton on his plate, asking him to drive the entire offense.
But it’s going to come home to roost soon. Ward has not thrown his first interception in the NFL yet, despite a 17.9% rate of bad throws. On top of that, he’s been pressured on 40% of his dropbacks. Eventually, that combination of pressure and risk-taking will result in a Ward pass ending up in the hands of a Colts defender.
Tyler Warren 50+ Receiving Yards
It’s rare for a rookie tight end to come crashing out of the gate in the NFL. Brock Bowers sure broke the mold last year, and it’s Tyler Warren’s turn this year. After catching seven passes for 76 yards in Week 1, Warren followed up with four catches for 79 yards. That puts him in rarefied air.
A third 70+ yard game could be a stretch, but I expect Warren to have another great game against a lackluster Titans defense.
