On the other side, former Sooners passer Jackson Arnold will hope to lead #22 Auburn to a signature win. Which big names will step up this afternoon?

Auburn vs. Oklahoma best prop bets
Jeremiah Cobb 47+ rushing yards (-114)
Passing could be difficult today against a revamped Sooners defense. In addition, Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables knows Arnold better than any other coach in the SEC. That level of insider info could be enough to scare Auburn away from a pass-heavy offense. Limiting the amount of time for Mateer (more on him later) should also be a priority for the Tigers. To do so, that means a strong commitment to running the ball on Saturday.
The biggest beneficiary of a grind-it-out game plan would be running back Jeremiah Cobb. The junior has been fantastic this season, rushing for 314 yards and four touchdowns on just 46 attempts. That’s good enough for an incredibly efficient 6.8 yards per carry, among the best in college football. Oklahoma’s defense is no walk in the park. Regardless, the Sooners have allowed 96.3 rushing yards per game to opponents. That’s not bad per se, but it’s enough to suggest there’s room to work with here. At just 47 yards, Auburn should feed Cobb enough to reach this modest total.
John Mateer 260+ passing yards (-110)
The aforementioned Mateer has taken the nation by storm. Through three games, the junior has thrown for 944 yards, rushed for 161, and tallied nine total touchdowns. A three-score day against Michigan in Week 2 proved that the quarterback could dominate against stiff competition, as well. That level of production makes Oklahoma’s offense a terrifying prospect for opposing defenses.
Auburn has gotten by mainly on the strength of its offense so far. The best team they’ve played so far, Baylor, managed to put up 24 points in Week 1. During that contest, Bears quarterback Sawyer Robertson threw for 419 yards and three touchdowns. Granted, that was due in part to his squad trailing by multiple scores for most of the second half. An early Oklahoma lead could result in a more run-heavy approach from Venables. Still, it’s hard not to throw the ball when you have the best player on the field under center. Against a suspect Tigers secondary, Mateer should have plenty of room to operate on Saturday.
