The UCL league phase continues on Thursday as Man City host Napoli.

Man City vs. Napoli Prediction, Pick
For the first time since 2017, Man City and Napoli meet once again in the UEFA Champions League. In all four games between these sides since 2011, both teams have scored.
Napoli are back in the competition for the first time since 2023/24 after winning the Italian league last season. It was just their fourth Serie A title in club history. They are off to yet another good start in Serie A this year, winning all three of their matches while scoring six goals and conceding one. They sit top of the league and now face their biggest test of the new season as they travel to Manchester to take on Man City at the Etihad Stadium.
City struggled in their opening three Premier League matches but seemed to turn a corner in their last game, a 3-0 win against cross-town rival Man United. Despite that, they are eighth in the table after losing two of their first four games. The Italian champions present a tough challenge for the Citizens.
On their day, both of these teams are some of the best in Europe. That’s why in this spot, I will take both sides to get on the scoresheet instead of backing either team.
City have scored eight goals in four Premier League games, and have managed to find the net in three of those. Napoli, of course, have scored in all three of their domestic wins. In their last UCL run, Napoli scored in all eight of their matches. Last year’s European run resulted in Man City scoring in eight of their 10 games.
This game should be back and forth, and I could see it going in any direction. I feel the most confident that both teams will score, as they usually do.
