While we are only two weeks into the season, Keon Coleman ($6,800 for Showdown) appears to have moved ahead of Khalil Shakir ($6,600) in the receiver pecking order for the Bills. Coleman is averaging 16.9 FPTS per game while leading Buffalo with a 20% target share and a 82% route rate.

Meanwhile, Shakir is averaging just 7.3 FPTS per game and while his route rate is the second-highest on the team at 75%, his target share ranks third for the Bills at 15.7%, trailing newcomer Joshua Palmer ($4,800) at 17.1%.

Coleman and Shakir have both seen two red-zone targets and two targets over 20 yards apiece, but Coleman’s 11.3 aDOT is better than Shakir’s at 9.1. Furthermore, Coleman is generating 0.3 FPTS per snap, which is double of Shakir’s at 0.15.

Thursday night presents an elite matchup for the Bills, as they are facing the Dolphins, who are allowing the third-most yards per pass this season (9.1), and while both Coleman and Shakir are viable options in this beautiful spot, Coleman has more upside and is simply the better option right now.
