Tonight on Dana White’s Contender Series, In Soo Hwang faces Paddy McCorry in a three-round Middleweight contest with a UFC contract opportunity to be had. Hwang has won four straight bouts since his first defeat, while McCorry is on a two-fight win streak since losing to Robert Valentin in the Ultimate Fighter 32 semifinal.
Check out my best bet for In Soo Hwang vs. Paddy McCorry on DWCS Season 9, Week 6.
Paddy McCorry to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+110)
On DraftKings Sportsbook, McCorry is a -238 favorite while Hwang is a +195 underdog. The over/under is set at 1.5 rounds with the under being -120. In this matchup, McCorry has a noticeable four-inch height advantage (6’3″ vs. 5’11”) and is four years younger than Hwang.
McCorry comes from Fight Academy Ireland in Belfast, which is where rising superstar Paul Hughes trains as well. Although McCorry has two losses on his resume, he has spent the majority of his career fighting in Cage Warriors, one of the top promotions in Europe.
Since McCorry’s last attempt to earn a UFC contract on TUF didn’t go as planned, he needs to show a more aggressive side to himself tonight to get a different result. That is why I’m backing McCorry to win by KO/TKO/DQ or submission at +110 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Hwang is a one-dimensional fighter, and McCorry has the perfect well-rounded skillset to extend tonight.
