Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
There’s nine games on tonight’s slate, which just so happens to be the penultimate Monday of the MLB’s regular season. With time winding down, here are my three picks on DraftKings Sportsbook to go yard: George Springer, Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ivan Herrera.
Top Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook
Ronald Acuna Jr. 1+ Home Run (+340)
Mitchell Parker has made 29 starts for the Nationals this season and I’ve probably bet against him in this space for at least 20 of them. That’s simply the reality of surrendering first percentile marks in opponent average exit velocity (92.3) and opponent hard hit rate (50.8%). You’re going to give up home runs and I’m going to anticipate it. As you would expect with a struggling left-handed pitcher, right-handed batters have been Parker’s kryptonite in 2025, as the southpaw has conceded 19 of his 24 total long balls within the split. Shockingly, he’s never faced division rival Ronald Acuna, but that might have been a good thing. Acuna’s been a destructive force when available in an injury-shortened campaign, posting a 93rd percentile expected wOBA (.383) and a 92nd percentile barrel rate (14.9%). The former MVP ended a long home run drought on Friday and I don’t believe we’ll have to wait too long for his next trot around the bases.
George Springer 1+ Home Run (+333)
Two pitchers will be called up from Triple-A to start tonight’s game in Tampa at a Single-A stadium. Fireworks might be on their way. The headliner is certainly Trey Yesavage, the Jays No. 1 pitching prospect who will now be making his MLB debut in the midst of a pennant race. However, the Rays will counter with Joe Boyle. The right-hander will not be making his MLB debut tonight. In fact, Boyle has made 10 appearances for Tampa already this season, tossing 36.2 innings in the process. The flame-throwing RHP has had his moments, yet Boyle has struggled in a starting role, pitching to a 7.54 ERA and surrendering 1.99 opponent home runs per nine in his six opportunities in the rotation. Meanwhile, George Springer hit his team-leading 29th long ball of 2025 on Sunday afternoon and he’s now rocking 98th percentile marks in both expected wOBA (.416) and expected slugging rate (.593). He could make George M. Steinbrenner Field look very small this evening.
Ivan Herrera 1+ Home Run (+527)
Did you think I was going to make it all the way through this article without mentioning Zack Littell? Impossible. Littell has given up more home runs than any pitcher on the planet in 2025, with 34 surrendered over 171.1 innings of work. When you’ve conceded that many long balls, there really isn’t much split analysis needed, though I will say that opposing RHBs have been a little more successful than LHBs, with right-handed bats averaging 1.95 home runs per nine against Littell this season. Ivan Herrera is right-handed. Ivan Herrera also sports a 90th percentile expected wOBA (.378). If not for an injury, I truly believe this would have been a breakout campaign for the Cardinals’ primary DH. Remember, this is a bat so good, St. Louis is essentially trying to convert a catcher into a left fielder. Anything to get Herrera up to 650 plate appearances. That’s enough of an endorsement for me to take notice.
