Justin Herbert O 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-125)

Herbert started his season on a high note in the Chargers’ win over the defending AFC champion Chiefs last week, completing 25 of his 34 pass attempts (73.5%%) for 318 yards and three touchdowns. Herbert averaged an elite 9.4 yards per pass and his 131.7 passer rating for that tilt is the fourth-best of his career. The Chargers featured a pass-heavy game plan in this win, as the team leads the NFL in PROE, which might be a sign of more things to come from Los Angeles this season.

After taking down the Chiefs, Herbert and the Chargers now face the Raiders in another AFC West matchup. Las Vegas only gave up one passing touchdown to the Patriots in Week 1, but the Raiders used zone coverage at a huge 90.7% clip in that win, which bodes very well for Herbert. Over the last two seasons, Herbert ranks second only to Lamar Jackson in passer rating when facing zone coverage.

Herbert threw for two touchdowns when he last faced Las Vegas in Week 17 of last season and he has thrown multiple touchdown passes in five of his last six starts. Los Angeles carries a high 25.5-point implied team total for Monday night on DraftKings Sportsbook – which is the seventh-highest implied team total of Week 2 – and Herbert should throw for at least two touchdowns in this appealing spot.
