We’re double-dipping for Monday Night Football this week, as this evening’s football slate will feature games in both Houston and Las Vegas. This article will be focused on the first of those two contests, as the Buccaneers and the Texans will square-off at 7:00 p.m. ET. We’ll also be focusing on the first touchdown scorer props on the DraftKings Sportsbook.

Who will find the end zone to open TNF? Let’s break down the odds and make a pick.

Buccaneers vs. Texans First Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets

Mike Evans First Touchdown Scorer (+850)

Despite scoring 23 points in their Week 1 win over the Falcons, the Buccaneers didn’t spend too much time in the red zone. In fact, the team had just a single drive inside Atlanta’s 20-yard line, mostly due to Emeka Egbuka (+950) taking a 30-yard pass and a 25-yard pass to the house. Heck, the rookie wideout also logged the highest snap share of any receiver on Tampa’s roster last Sunday (93.1%). That’s all well and good, but it feels like it’ll be Mike Evans’ turn in Week 2. The past evidence is simply too string to ignore. The big-bodied Evans is the perfect target in the end zone and that’s translated into 24 receiving touchdowns since the beginning of 2023 — tied for the most in the league with Ja’Marr Chase and Amon-Ra St. Brown entering play in Week 2. Evans grew up an hour outside of Houston. He stated earlier this week that this might be his last opportunity to play in his home stadium. I figure he’ll want to make an impression.
